ACNE

Commonly described as Pimples, acne medically is known as Acne Vulgaris. It is a skin disease that involves the oil glands at the base of hair follicles. It commonly occurs during puberty when the sebaceous (oil) glands come to life. Acne is not dangerous, but can leave skin scars. Human skin has pores (tiny holes) which connect to oil glands located under the skin. The glands are connected to the pores via follicles - small canals. These glands produce Sebum, an oily liquid. The sebum carries dead skin cells through the follicles to the surface of the skin. A small hair grows through the follicle out of the skin. Pimples grow when these follicles get blocked, resulting in an accumulation of oil under the skin. At Sharda's Skin Clinic, we deal with acne with a complete holistic approach and get rid of your problematic acne and acne scars.

PSORIASIS

Psoriasis is a long-term (chronic) skin problem that causes skin cells to grow too quickly, resulting in thick, white, silvery, or red patches of skin. Normally, skin cells grow gradually and flake off about every 4 weeks. New skin cells grow to replace the outer layers of the skin as they shed. But in psoriasis, new skin cells move rapidly to the surface of the skin in days rather than weeks. They build up and form thick patches called plaques. In Sharda's Skin and Hair clinic, we help you treat and control your psoriasis with the new NB-UVB Phototherapy. It is a very safe and side effect free form of light treatment to control and manage psoriasis.

VITILIGO

Vitiligo is a continual and long term skin problem that produces white depigmentation patches that develop and enlarge in certain sections of the skin. These white patches appear because the patient has very little or no skin cells - called melanocytes - which are the cells in charge of producing the skin pigmentation, called melanin, which gives the colour of the skin and protects it from the sunĀ“s UV rays. In Sharda's Skin and Hair clinic, we help you treat and control your vitiligo with the new NB-UVB Phototherapy. It is a very safe and side effect free form of light treatment to control and manage vitiligo.

URTICARIA

Individual lesions resolve without scarring in several hours. Most cases of urticaria are self-limited and of short duration; the eruption rarely lasts more than several days, it but may be recurrent over weeks. Chronic urticaria is defined as urticaria with recurrent episodes lasting longer than 6 weeks.
